Wide river channel array flow monitoring: A field case of fixed radar wave flow measurement

Project Background
This plan is aimed at the upgrading and renovation work of a certain hydrological station in Hunan Province. The wide river channel radar wave flow measurement monitoring site, the array radar online flow measurement system, is a real-time online flow measurement system developed for wide cross-section river scenarios. It is suitable for natural rivers with a width of tens to hundreds of meters, or small and medium-sized rivers and channels where the flow velocity at the cross-section is uneven due to sluices, bends, etc. The arrayed radar online flow measurement system introduces multiple flow velocity sensors to simultaneously obtain flow velocity data from multiple velocity measurement vertical lines, thereby accurately monitoring information such as water level, flow velocity, and flow rate. It is an important element in hydrological monitoring, water resource allocation and environmental monitoring and governance. Its function is to accurately measure the real-time data of flow at specific river sections and various water intake points, and provide basic data for scientific dispatching and decision-making.
Two System composition
This project adopts one radar flowmeter and two radar current meters to simultaneously obtain the flow velocity of multiple velocity measurement vertical lines. This further enables accurate monitoring of information such as water level, flow velocity, and flow rate.

Four Installation Site
4.1 Make sure all the preparations are complete. Take the tools, steel wire rope, winch, wheels, and the instrument bracket for fixing. Pull the steel wire rope and secure it with expansion screws. The location. This job has a relatively high risk factor, so protective measures should be well taken

4.2 Pass through the circulation cable (winch) and adjust the position of the radar flowmeter and radar current meter through the circulation lock
4.3 Fix the radar flowmeter and radar current meter on the bracket, and adjust the position of the pulley on the cable.

4.4 Connect the wires from the front-end sensors to the telemetry terminal host properly to complete the collection and transmission.

After all the preparatory work is completed and the wires are connected, operate the winch to adjust the equipment to the designated position.


4.6 Installation is complete, and data connection can be conducted remotely. Data can be viewed on both PC and mobile devices


The installation and commissioning of this equipment have been completed. Data connection will be carried out according to the customer's requirements.
