I. Construction Background
China is currently the country with the largest number of reservoirs. Reservoir DAMS are water conservancy structures that hold back floodwaters, store water and regulate water flow. However, many reservoir dam structures are very old, and safety issues have become the most important factor restricting the healthy development of reservoir DAMS. Under the influence of loads and natural factors, reservoirs may have potential safety hazards. It is difficult to exert normal flood control benefits and will also cause incalculable losses to the lives and property of people downstream.

Iii. Construction Contents
1) Water and Rainfall Monitoring Station
Water level and rainfall data are collected through water level and rainfall sensors. The real-time rainfall and water conditions data are sent to the front-end machines of the municipal water conditions sub-center respectively through the RTU telemetry terminal to achieve multi-transmission at one station. After the information receiving software deployed on the front-end machine completes the reception and collation of water level and rainfall condition data from the rainfall station, it stores the real-time rainfall and condition data in the county-level platform database and the municipal hydrological database. The municipal water conditions sub-center then reports the real-time rainfall and water conditions data of the automatic monitoring stations in the counties (cities, districts) under its jurisdiction to the provincial water conditions center through the water conditions reporting system.

2) Dam safety monitoring
The dam safety monitoring system includes the monitoring of dam seepage flow, seepage pressure and surface deformation. Establish a safety early warning system for reservoir DAMS, assess the safety status of reservoir DAMS in real time, and draw process line graphs, section infiltration line graphs, annual and monthly data reports based on the data to meet the needs of engineering management.

IV. Internet of Things Platform

The Internet of Things platform consists of several major modules, including equipment overview, monitoring standards, equipment management, monitoring point management, and system management
A standard iot protocol is established within the iot platform to support secure and reliable two-way data transmission from devices to the cloud
The l platform conducts real-time monitoring of the device status through the communication data of the device. Users can also remotely control the device online through the system, including the issuance of control instructions, reading of device status, and firmware upgrades and other remote services, which greatly reduces the maintenance cost of the device for users

The dedicated client enables users to check the current device status anytime and anywhere.
Multiple measures such as lightning protection, rain protection, moisture protection and input signal isolation are adopted to ensure the safety of the equipment and its stable and reliable performance.
● Strong compatibility, compatible with various types of monitoring sensors such as surface settlement, soil displacement, soil moisture content, earth pressure, piezometer, water level gauge, rain gauge, GNSS receiver, fixed inclinometer, piezometer, high-speed high-definition camera, pore water pressure gauge, radar level gauge, wire displacement gauge, earth pressure gauge, etc. The device supports NB-IOT networks of operators such as China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom, and is compatible with the access of iot platforms of major operators.
