I. Overview

The mobile online radar wave cableway flow measurement system is a non-contact sensor (radar water level gauge + radar current meter) system. It is composed of two 304 stainless steel wire ropes with a spacing of 300mm and a diameter of ≥mm as the guide track, a radar speed sensor, an automatic crane, a flow controller, a solar power supply system and a water level gauge. External expansion can be equipped with wind speed and direction sensors, temperature sensors, rainfall sensors, etc. The automatic vehicle suspended on the cableway is equipped with a radar wave speed sensor. It travels along the cableway at fixed times every day and stops at the designated vertical lines for flow measurement. After measuring all the vertical lines one by one, it automatically returns to the parking point for automatic charging. The measured flow velocity is sent to the telemetry terminal via a radio station and calculated together with the water level collected by the telemetry terminal to obtain the flow rate. All data is sent to the designated central station via the GPRS module. The entire process adheres to the principles of unattended operation, simplicity and reliability, ease of maintenance, complete functionality without the need for manual operation, and is convenient, fast, time-saving and labor-saving.

 

 

 

II. Application Environment

The rivers suitable for monitoring are widely distributed, cover a wide area and have many stations. Especially for mountain stream rivers, the confluence speed is fast (the faster the flow rate, the more accurate the measurement).

The working principle of the three systems

The mobile radar wave online flow measurement system uses two 304 stainless steel wire ropes with a spacing of 300mm and a diameter of ≥mm as guide rails. The radar wave speed measurement probe, dual self-flowing motors, radar speed measurement controller, lithium battery, radio station and other equipment are installed in the radar running car. The radar running car is suspended on the guide rail rope through the drive wheels and steering wheels. When the radar speed controller receives the operation command through the radio station, it controls the motor control command of the radar operation vehicle to run the radar operation vehicle to the designated position of the flow measurement section. Then, it sends the position information to the system controller through the radio station, and the system controller sends the flow measurement command to the radar speed controller through the radio station. After receiving the flow measurement instruction, the radar flow measurement controller controls the radar speed measurement probe to start the speed measurement test, and promptly sends the measured flow velocity data of the radar speed measurement probe to the system controller via the radio station. At the same time, the system controller collects the water level data and then sends the water level, flow velocity and other data to the flow calculation terminal to calculate the section flow in real time, thereby achieving unattended automatic measurement of the section. After the flow measurement is completed, drive the radar operation vehicle back indoors and automatically align it with the charging control box for charging.

It is composed of a radar surface flowmeter, a radar running vehicle, a system controller, a radar speed measurement controller, a flow calculation terminal, an online charging box, a battery, a radio station, an RTU telemetry terminal, a water level gauge and central station software, etc.

 Data Cloud Platform

Through the cloud data display platform: mainly used to show information such as water level, flow velocity and flow rate of each station. Its functions are: site management, viewing real-time data of all sites, real-time data, historical data, reports, curves of individual sites, export of historical data, and export of historical curves. This platform can be used for free. If you need to build your own platform, you can parse the data. The protocol supported by the telemetry terminal is the SL651-2014 Hydrological Communication Protocol.
